又甜又鹹又酸又辣又苦

It's been a while I learned cooking in a class since seconday school (yup, guys in our school needed to take "home economics"). Tempted by their 2-for-1 promotion during the mont of May, a friend of mine and I joined their Thai cooking class this evening at Blue Ribbon Cooking, with cook Pranee as our instructor.

On the menu were:
Yam Neua, Beef mint sald; sliced grilled beef sirloin steak with mint and toasted rice powder
Tom Kha Gai, Chiken in sweet and sour coconut milk soup with Kaffir lime leaf and lemongrass
Phad Thai
Kao Neow Mameung,
sticky rice in cocount milk with sliced mangoes

I like the Yam Neua the best, partly because that's the only dish we involved :P yeah, there were many people tonight so we didn't get a lot of hands on experience.

One interesting was that when Pranee went off to get a glass of water right after she tasted her own food :P it wasn't a good sign, was it?!

Well, the food turned out to be pretty good, and I learned a good trick of how to test whether the steak is well done, medium rare, or rare.

The sunset on Lake Union was beautiful!

I went by Whole Foods yesterday and got some beautiful tulips...

i love this song! those youthful songs in the early 80s are pure and innocent.
